This jug is designed as a focal point, possibly to hold flowers as it is quite a beast! Handthrown in black anthracite clay and hand carved, it is a unique design standing 23cm high and approximately 15cm wide. 
The jug is glazed in a transparent glaze on the outside and a pale green crystal glaze inside with a pulled handle.
The design is hand carved free hand through 4 layers of ombré slip and consists of trees, dragonfly’s, birds, bluebells and snowdrops. 
Each item is individually hand crafted and as such has a uniqueness not found in production made items. A matching set will always have character. This is the wonderful nature of ceramics. Other items in this range will match in glaze but each is very unique in design.
